Weiland Sliding Doors and Windows, a high-end custom manufacturer, currently has opportunities for window/door design engineers with CAD department management experience located at our plant in Oceanside, California.
Job responsibilities will include:
- Support customers by providing and overseeing timely, accurate and complete customer drawings packages
- Support the production department with the preparation of timely, accurate and complete production documents
- Propose and implement enhancements and/or refinements to existing products
- Perform U-Value, structural and other test simulations on existing and contemplated products
- Maximize productivity and efficiency of the department utilizing AutoCAD, SolidWorks and configuration software
- Responsible for maintaining an existing product family/platform as well as involvement in the research, design and development of alternative product ideas.
Education/Experience:
- BS in a relevant field of engineering
- 5-7 years of engineering research and product design experience
- Project management skills (MS Project)
- Strong organizational and inter-personal skills
- Demonstrated ability to successfully work with multiple non-technical employee groups (sales, purchasing, production)
