Position Overview:
· The account manager will be charged with driving sales growth and margin for Momentive sealants and adhesives construction business - an exclusive manufacturer of GE Silicones.
· This individual will be the primary contact for assigned accounts and responsible for developing overall business strategy for achieving success and building strong customer relationships across the entire organization.
· This individual will be responsible for the entire sales cycle - from account reasearch and development through closure and servicing of the account.
· This individual will work with assigned accounts to determine their needs and appropriate product fit to deliver optimum value to the customer and year to year sales growth & margin increase to the business.
· This individual will be responsible for managing and growing market share with the current distribution network. Service and support their sales team, develop annual growth plan, provide company expectations, set goals & objectives and provide training for new employees.
· This individual will need to work effectively to promote integration within business portfolio.
· This individual will need to stay current and knowledgeable of competitive and market environments while communicating current market intelligence back to the business.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
· Deliver on growth strategy by developing new accounts, winning more orders with existing accounts, and selling new products into assigned accounts.
· Utilize knowledge of regional commercial construction projects and work with consultants, architects, engineers, general contractors & subcontractors to secure sealant business on those projects. Provide updated project tracking in each region to management.
· Expected to spend a majority of their time with assigned accounts and distributors creating demand for GE Silicones. Travel will be required.
· Manage local Manufactures Representative(s), drive them to provide continued growth in their territory and provide updated reports on projects and local customers.
· Manage relationships with high-level executives as well as key enablers and/or decision makers within the construction/OEM business.
· Able to sell value of GE Silicones versus competition. Provide value to our customers and distributors by outservicing the competition.
· Generating written proposals, preparing and delivering sales presentations, planning customer meetings, and demonstrating product capabilities.
· Sales tracking of the current territory by utilizing company provided software.
Required Education and Professional Qualifications:
· BS or BA college degree.
· Exceptional leadership, team building, account management, interpersonal, presentation and communication skills (written and verbal) with a proven track record of success.
· This position will be home based and requires highly motivated individual with proven sucess
· Solid commercial and technical understanding of the construction and/or OEM fenestration industry.
· Solid and efficient PC based computer skills
Required Work Experience:
· Minimum 5 years experience selling into the construction and/or OEM industry .
· Fenestration / waterproofing industry and sealant product knowledge a strong plus.
