Research Scientist – Melting Research (Engineering) Grade Level 6 – 8 - 10 (depending on education, experience) Job Summary The Research Scientist (Engineering) in the melting research group will support research and technical programs aimed at improving existing glass melting and conditioning processes as well as development of new rapid melting technologies that are more energy efficient, less capital intensive and are designed for flexible manufacturing. This position will be responsible for equipment design, material selection, modeling of equipment and materials, design of experiments to determine suitability of equipment and materials proposed for glass melting systems.
